She tried to make people see how sorry she was, and even tried to say there was no more love between them... but the deed was done. No one cared. Now pause for a minute. Agreed the man had a right to get angry. Agreed the lover boy was wrong to go to a matrimonial home. Agreed he should not have gone for his gun. What if he had recorded it and told her to move out? Would he be an ex convict today? Guess what? The woman is living her life now and the only thing is she is adulterous. Not an ex convict. She can still run for elections. Remarry. And hey! She DID remarry. She tried to see him in prison but after she realized the futility, because the family banned her from even coming near her son, she gave up, relocated and started a new life abroad. The lesson in this is,#MaaSheyBooSheTo! Don't let your emotions make you use all your power and connections to deal with an issue that will be an overkill. Control your anger. Avoid people who work you up. Think twice. If you can not stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen. If you can not do the time don't do the crime... let us learn to control our emotions and anger. You don't want to know what the consequences of road rage have amounted to in surveys. No ones life is worth your life sentence. Think fast. Think twice. Think well".

3 year old boy miraculously survives after his mum made the decision to take off his life support
The mum had been warned that her son, Dylan, who was lying unconscious on the hospital bed, would not survive the rare form of cancer. The cancer had left him critically ill with bacterial pneumonia and caused his major organs to fail.
According to the story, when Dylan arrived at hospital it was discovered he had two collapsed lungs and was later diagnosed with a form of lung cancer and was given chemotherapy. The following month he developed an infection and had a seizure, which caused him to stop breathing again. He was given CPR by Caroline Blake at Little Nippers nursery when he collapsed.
But, miraculously, the brave tot slowly improved and stunned doctors to be well enough to be released from hospital in April .
Dylan's mum who is from Somersal Close, Shelton Lock, wanted to share the story of Dylan's illness and miraculous recovery. She said:
"Dylan first presented with a single collapsed lung on Christmas Day 2015. He was breathless and distressed at lunch time so after a visit to the walk-in clinic we got rushed to A&E at Derby where they suspected pneumonia at first. "After no improvement, they did an X-ray and discovered the collapse and that his lungs looked unclear and potentially were covered in air-filled cysts.
We were transferred to Nottingham QMC where they did a chest drain to release the air. Dylan, who has two brothers Bryce, aged six and Logan, aged four months, was discharged on January 7, however he had another single collapse on the right side again on four days later. He was discharged again on February 1, but things soon got worse.
"On February 10, he had a double collapse at Little Nippers nursery. His breathing became laboured quickly and I took him into the lobby and called 999 and was told I would get a phone call back.
"He got worse so I called again and stressed the nature of his condition. Then I was just on my third phone all back to them to express how quickly he was deteriorating when he stopped breathing and the wonderful Caroline Blake took over and gave rescue breaths so I could continue on the phone to the paramedic counting his breathing out once he started up again."Once we were at Royal Derby Hospital A&E, it was discovered both lungs had collapsed and staff started putting him on the ventilator and putting chest drains in. "A team from QMC came across to fetch him and as we arrived in Nottingham, so did his biopsy results which came back as Pulmonary Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis which is now recognised as cancer, so effectively lung cancer. On Valentine's Day, his tubes were removed.
Mrs Askin continued:
"On Good Friday we were told he wasn't going to survive and we had him baptised and all said goodbye. "Myself and his dad, Mike, stayed with him every second and on Saturday morning we made the tough decision to remove life support but once the muscle relaxant was turned off to start the process we discovered he needed more sedation. Upon doing that he slowly improved!
"Finally he was released on April 4 which was mine and Mike's seventh wedding anniversary so again a wonderful gift! He final chest drain was removed on May 20 and we were discharged just over two weeks later."

Embattled former Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro,
has reportedly refunded N100.4 million out of the N785 million a
company, Sylvan McNamara limited linked to him, received from the former
National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki.
The Nation reports that
Obanikoro who has been in EFCC custody since October 19th, may be
released after the N100.4 million he refunded has been confirmed by the
antigraft agency.
An
EFCC operative who spoke on condition of anonymity said “After many
days of foot-dragging, the ex-Minister has paid back N100.4million out
of about N785million allegedly collected from the Office of National
Security Adviser (ONSA) by Sylvan McNamara Limited, a company which was
allegedly linked to him. I
think we may grant him bail to give him time to look for the balance of
the cash. We are trying to verify the government account he paid into
and we want to confirm the payment. We may release him any moment from
now after the confirmation. This,
however, does not mean that we are dropping any charges against him.
Our objective is first of all to recover the illegal funds. The decision
on his trial will depend on the review of his case and the extent to
which he is liable. You
know the ex-Minister has admitted flying over N1.299billion to Akure in
two shuttles for Governor Ayodele Fayose. The cash was collected by
Fayose’s associate, Abiodun Agbele, who is currently on trial. Obanikoro
also confessed that he personally gave $5.377m (N60m then) cash to
Fayose. He admitted on oath that he was used to siphon public funds
meant for arms purchase. These are all criminal offences which are
punishable by the nation’s laws. The testimonies of Obanikoro will hasten his trial and ongoing prosecution of all the suspects implicated in the arms cash.”
Obanikoro in his statement to the EFCC, had alleged that N3.880 billion out of
the N4.75 billion he collected from Dasuki, was handed to Ekiti state
governor, Ayo Fayose, to rig the state governorship election in June
2014 in favor of PDP. Obanikoro also alleged that he
handed over $5.377m (N60m then) cash to Fayose at Spotless Hotel,
Ado-Ekiti in the presence of the former Secretary of the Peoples
Democratic Party in the state, Dr. Tope Aluko, and other party
stalwarts. Fayose
has since dismissed this allegation, accusing the Federal government of
wanting to rope him into the case by all means possible since he is
always very critical of the Buhari-led adminisitration.
Commenting
on Fayose's denial, the EFCC source said “The governor is just
grandstanding because of the immunity he enjoys. He personally admitted
collecting money from Zenith Bank as a campaign gift. His associate,
Agbele, reeled out how houses were bought from the N1.299billion brought
by Obanikoro. And the ex-Minister has finally nailed him with his
statement on oath. Fayose has a date with the court. It is just a matter of time. In two years, he will be in the dock to account for the contracts he executed in the ONSA to have earned such slush funds".

"Presently Lagos state government through the Lagos State Drivers Institute, LASDRI is training and accrediting conductors in the state, adding that after the training the graduands would be employed as Bus Conductors and would be on the payroll of the government with a salary worth of N50,000 per month. The objective is to make the job of bus conducting attractive, respected and dignified as obtainable globally”.

The new caution from the Polio Ambassador came on the heels of the three recent isolated cases of Acute Flaccid Paralysis associated with Wild Polio Virus Type 1 in Borno State. Reacting further to the outbreak, he said;
“the new cases in Borno are a constant reminder that we should never throw caution to the wind in our efforts to rid Nigeria of polio. Until the poliovirus is completely eradicated, our children remain at risk.”The celebration, which began on the 20th of October culminated in a mass immunization exercise at a Cottage Clinic in Obio, Rivers State. About fifty children were immunized against polio during the event. Sir Emeka urged all parents to make sure that their children are vaccinated not only against polio but all preventable diseases. Representatives from UNICEF, Rotary International North America and Rotarians from District 9140 participated in the exercise.

Tunde Giwa, a younger brother of the slain founding Editor of Newswatch Magazine, Dele Giwa, has opened up on what he feels about his brother’s evasive killer.
According to Tunde, the family’s pain has yet to be assuaged 30 years after Giwa’s murder because the killer has not been brought to justice.
He said the family continued to live in pain seeing that Giwa’s killer, “who everyone knows” was still around and walking freely.
The Punch reports that Tunde, who made a passionate appeal to journalists in the country not to allow the case to be forgotten, said just like every other Nigerian, he knew Giwa’s killer and could mention his name.
Tunde spoke on behalf of the Giwa family on Wednesday at a colloquium organised by the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Lagos State Council to mark the 30th anniversary of Dele Giwa’s death.
Also present on the occasion, which held at the Multipurpose Hall, Radio Lagos/Eko FM, Ikeja, were Giwa’s widow, Funmi, and his daughter, Aisha, who was said to be only a few months old at the time Giwa was killed.
Tunde, who described his slain elder brother as the breadwinner of the family, said the family had not remained the same since he was murdered.
He called on journalists in the country to help the family get justice.
Tunde said, “You people should help us to unravel the mystery surrounding the death of Dele Giwa. Everybody knows the person that killed him. He’s there walking freely around. I can mention his name if you want.In his welcome address, the Chairman of the NUJ, Lagos State Council, Mr. Deji Elumoye, said it was sad and regrettable that 30 years after Giwa was killed by a letter bomb, no arrest had been made and no one had been prosecuted.
“Please, help us…The day I see the killer arraigned in court, I will be the happiest person on earth.”
He said it was sad that journalists had become the most conspicuous butt of inhuman treatment not only in Nigeria but on the entire African continent.
He demanded, on behalf of the NUJ, that the Federal Government should order the Inspector-General of Police to reopen investigation into Giwa’s assassination.
“It is a matter of worry that journalists could become subjects of attacks in the course of carrying out their duty as members of the Fourth Estate of the Realm.
“Not quite long ago, a photo journalist, Mr. Benedict Uwalaka, and the Executive Director and Chairman, Badagry Prime, were killed with the complicity of security agents.”
